Eleanor Kay Images- Josh MacPhee Broadsheet Printmaking At PAFAThrough my work with James Daniel Burns and his "Rise And Shine" Mural on Broad Street in Philadelphia, I had the opportunity to contribute images to Josh MacPhee's commission at the PAFA: Beyond The Paint Exhibit. The exhibit is a well deserved tribute to 30 years of Jane Golden's baby, the Philadelphia Mural Arts Program.
I had the opportunity to attend a printmaking session and take a few snaps of the broadsheet printmaking process. As with all aspects of the Mural Arts program, the process involves the full attention of the artists and the public. It is all about building community. Here is a little peek. Enjoy:-)
Eleanor Kay Images- Phillips' Mill Poster
I was honored to have my image, "Lights Out At Phillips' Mill", chosen to grace the 22nd Annual Phillips' Mill Photographic Exhibition Poster. Each year one image from the exhibition is chosen for the poster. The poster is framed and grouped on the entry wall with the other annual exhibition posters from all prior years. It is pretty cool to be included in a group of so many talented photographers! Happy Dance:-)
Eleanor Kay Images- Grammy DaysI love my 'Grammy Days'. These are the days I spend one on one time with my granddaughters. I try to sneak a few pics of them from time to time. I want to remember their giggles and antics. On this particular day little miss ran round and round the porch rockers as I chased her with my 50mm 1.4. Easier said than done:-)
Eleanor Kay Images-The Bucks County Project Gallery-PostcardI am happy to have a piece of my work featured on the postcard and advertising for the Tattoos and Graffiti Juried Exhibition at The Bucks County Project Gallery in Doylestown, PA. This piece, "Identity", earned first place in the tattoo category. I am looking forward to the opening on Friday. I can't wait to see all of the other artists' work! Please stop in and join us:-)
