Eleanor Kay Images- AOY Elements Photography ShowI am excited to have these three images in the Artists Of Yardley Elements Photography Show. Due to the weather the opening was postponed until tomorrow, Sunday February 16, 2014 from 1-4. If anyone has any energy left to dig themselves out, stop by:-)
Eleanor Kay Images- Ice StormWe had snow and ice yesterday in the northeast. I wrapped my camera in a plastic bag, put on my ice cleats and hiked around the neighborhood.
This sign left me wondering what it will be like if we get the next big storm predicted for the weekend:-)
Eleanor Kay Images- Backyard Junco In The SnowThe angel on my shoulder keeps telling me that I should shovel snow then treat myself to some hot chocolate almond milk with marshmallows. The devil on my other shoulder suggests that I might be happier drinking the hot chocolate while editing images by the nice warm fireplace!.Taken through the french door window with a Nikon D700 and a 70-200mm lens;-D
Stay safe and warm!
Eleanor Kay Images-Winter On The Sassafras River MarylandYesterday we took a ride down to check on my namesake, Eleanor Kay. She was a little chilly.
The Sassafras was frozen over.
There were many herons, eagles and seagulls searching for fish in the few ice free breaks near the marina. I caught this young eagle swoop up his/her? lunch.
You can see the unlucky fish in his/her talons.
On the return home we passed that barn again. As we pulled up there was a flock of snow geese flying over the barn with the light setting their wings a glow. Of course, I didn't get that shot!!! I wasn't quick enough!!! So this shot will have to do. Thank you for stopping by. Have a fabulous day:-)
GnomesMy husband and I headed out early yesterday on a haphazard photo mission. A drive by shooting with no rules. Nothing better than catching the warm and glistening early light. Unfortunately, the light was flat, very flat and I couldn't seem to find my mojo. So we stopped for breakfast and after meandered down the Delaware Canal and River banks into the land of Hippy Freak, Mardi Gras-ish Gnomes! Peace:-)
